What is the Ageless Wisdom?
The Ageless Wisdom refers to an ancient body of teachings regarding the nature of our cosmos, how it devolved from an energetic unity known as the One Life, the laws by which it operates, and humanity’s evolutionary role within it. It is the source of all spiritual teachings and religious traditions.
What are the basic tenets of the Ageless Wisdom?
Its primary focus is on the energetic structure of the universe, the evolution of consciousness, the spiritual reality of our lives as humans, and the development of “right human relations.” Its emphasis on all life as energy is being confirmed by the current work in cosmology and quantum physics. No student of the Ageless Wisdom is expected to accept any of the teachings without testing them. As the Tibetan says, “If the teaching conveyed calls forth a response from the illumined mind of the worker in the world, and brings a flashing forth of intuition, then let that teaching be accepted. But not otherwise.” Our short Evocative Words video can give you a feel for our shared context.

Discipline and the Ageless Wisdom
The Ageless Wisdom teachings are based in how we understand and work with energy – being receptive to its intuitive inflow and being able to channel and transmute it for the greater good. Working with energy requires an ability to focus singlemindedly, which can seem boring and increasingly difficult for people who have become used to media multitasking (e.g., simultaneous texting, Facebook, email, phone, video). Recent research is showing that chronic media multitasking, while emotionally satisfying, can severly compromise one's ability to screen out irrelevant stimuli. The daily practice of meditation in and of itself can restore the ability to focus and reflect deeply on a single topic, which is critical to engaging in a study of the Ageless Wisdom.
How have we learned about the Ageless Wisdom?
In ancient times, the Ageless Wisdom was protected as a primarily oral tradition, passed on from teacher to student and, at particular points of crisis, by a series of spiritual teachers including Krishna, Buddha, Confucius, Jesus, and Mohammed. The teachings were first revealed to the general public around 1875 when Helena Blavatsky wrote The Secret Doctrine in collaboration with the Ray Two Master Djwhal Khul (the Tibetan). In founding the Theosophical Society, Blavatsky created one of the first bridges between Eastern and Western cosmology and philosophy.
Fifty years later Alice A. Bailey began writing (again in collaboration with the Tibetan) a series of 24 books known as the Blue Books – of which Initiation, Human and Solar and Letters on Occult Meditation were the first. She founded the Arcane School, from which the School for Esoteric Studies developed. At the same time, Helena Roerich, in collaboration with the Ray One Master Morya, wrote the Agni Yoga books, which form the foundation of the Agni Yoga Society.
